Cars 4 Causes
WCIL has an agreement with Cars 4 Causes that permits us to accept everything from jet skis to a Rolls Royce. This includes planes, boats, any form of transportation-even those that don't work anymore!
For the donor this means a contribution to WCIL which then becomes a tax donation. So, if you have a vehicle that you no longer use and would like to get it out of your garage, let us know. Call Development at 310-568-0107, Ext. 24 and arrangements will be made for a quick pickup by Cars 4 Causes. WCIL will send you a letter of appreciation as will Cars 4 Causes.

"I hear that with some auto auction services very little money actually gets to the charity. Please clarify."
WCIL response:
In reviewing past gifts, a little more than 50% seems to be the going rate. That other percentage is used to pay for the pickup or towing, no matter the condition, at the time and date requested by the donor, taking care of the pink slip transfer, any insurance required and the actual selling or auctioning of the donated vehicle. This is beyond our capacity to handle at WCIL. Cars 4 Causes is a nonprofit 501 (c) (3) organization.
